World War II veteran George Ciampa created LET FREEDOM RING in order to educate today’s generation on the importance of freedom, and to help others never forget those men and women who gave their lives for freedom. In August 2006, Ciampa took four Southern California high school history teachers, two First Division “Battle of the Bulge” Veterans, and an Outpost Worldwide documentary crew to Belgium. The purpose was to enlighten the teachers about the hardships of the Belgian people who lived under the Nazi occupation as well as hear the experiences of the veterans who fought the Nazis.

Currently, LET FREEDOM RING is being broadly distributed throughout the California Educational system and is being aired on over 80 PBS affiliates nationwide.

Last but not least, the documentaries. Outpost Worldwide has helped produce five different feature length documentaries in the past four years. Two documentaries on World War II. A documentary on the fight for Pro Life and it’s struggle to bring this monumental human rights struggle to the masses. A story of an Artist who has electrified the New York art scene at the age of eighty-four. And, a good old fashioned Rock and Roll Documentary about the struggle of being a musician in a world and Industry they will likely be undiscovered.
First up, the documentaries, Let Freedom Ring…The Lesson is Priceless and Let Freedom Ring…Memories of France. These World War II documentaries were created by George Ciampa, a World War II veteran with the 607th Graves Registration Company and the president of LET FREEDOM RING. Today, the history of this era is not commonly known by many youth of today. Too often people take freedom for granted and never realize that there is always a chance for it to be taken away. For example, people in Europe lost their freedom as Nazi Germany occupied their countries.
George Ciampa created LET FREEDOM RING in order to educate today’s generation on the importance of FREEDOM and to never forget those men and women who gave their lives for freedom. Today’s generation cannot be complacent about the security of our freedom that so many servicemen and women have died for over the years.
In August 2006, Ciampa took four Southern California high school history teachers, two First Division “Battle of the Bulge” veterans, and a documentary crew to Belgium. The purpose was to enlighten the teachers about the hardships of the Belgian people who lived under the Nazi occupation as well as hear the experiences of the veterans who fought the Nazis. The tour was filmed for a documentary, Let Freedom Ring…The Lesson is Priceless, to pass this information to younger generations.

In July 2007, Ciampa took other high school history teachers and other veterans of the D-Day Normandy Invasion to France. The purpose was to enlighten the teachers about the hardships of the French people who lived under the Nazi occupation as well as hear the experiences of the veterans who fought the Nazis. The tour was also filmed for a documentary, Let Freedom Ring…Memories of France, to pass this information to younger generations.

Currently, Let Freedom Ring…The Lesson is Priceless and Let Freedom Ring…Memories of France are being broadly distributed throughout the California Educational system and are being aired on PBS affiliate KTWU in Topeka, Kansas. The hope is that these documentaries will be widely distributed throughout the PBS system. Let Freedom Ring…The Lesson is Priceless will make its film festival debut at the G.I. Film Festival in Washington D.C. on Sunday May 17, 2009.
To Learn more about Let Freedom Ring…The Lesson is Priceless and Let Freedom Ring…Memories of France go to letfreedomringforall.org.
In January 2008 with the inauguration of Barack Obama and a march for one of the greatest civil rights issues, The Right to Life was about to have there annual march on Washington D.C. Courageous filmmakers Jack Cashill and Steven Sanborne chronicle the adventures of several groups of college age kids as they make their journey to Washington D.C. to march on the Supreme Court.
Outpost Worldwide helped the filmmaker realize their journey by providing five camera crews, technical support, funding, editing and self-distribution. The film has been shown to packed out theaters throughout the Midwest and is receiving rave revues. To learn more about Thine Eyes please visit thineeyes.org.
Bob Mozcydlowski, is a very talented “jack of all trades”. He is a graduate of both the Kansas University School of Journalism and the Carnegie Mellon Entertainment Management Degree programs. Bob is the founder of Closed Systems and as far as Outpost can tell a great storyteller.
Outpost Worldwide has helped Bob on his filmmaking Journey through two feature length documentaries, when finished, will no doubt inspire filmmakers and audiences the world over.
The first documentary, which is still in Post Production, is To Tell You The Truth. The story of Eugene Andolsek, who at the age of eighty-four was discovered as a genius outsider artist by the American Folk Art Museum in New York City. Underlying the success of this artist, we come to find that Eugene has actually lived a tortured life, with little or no friends, which propels Eugene to create a body of work the spans over fifty years. The Documentary chronicle Eugene’s success and his doubt as a human being and a success after a lifetime of failures.
To Tell You The Truth, was picked up in 2007 and mentored by the Sundance Institutes Independent Producer Program. Outpost Worldwide looks forward to seeing this film on the festival circuit in the near future. To see an excerpt of the film go to outpostworldwide.com.
The second effort of Bob’s filmmaking career is a clever documentary about the struggles, and conditions of an Indy Rock lifestyle in, 72 Musicians. The Documentary interviews seventy two musicians from a fledging Midwest rock scene who although are brilliant musicians in the own write, will meet success, failure, and the ultimate dream crusher of non-discovery. The Documentary is sewn together with the interviews telling a story with some of the best indy rock acts in the United States today.
72 Musicians is hitting the film festival circuit with three acceptances into the film festival circuit! Stay tuned, there will be more to come.

During 2006 Outpost had the opportunity to collaborate with director Chuck Cranston, of Telemark Pictures, and Washburn University on the period film Through Martha’s Eyes.
Through Martha’s Eyes is based in part on historical events and tells the story of Martha, a young African American woman sold into slavery in 1856 to work and live at an Indian Mission School in what is now Kansas. Thinking Kansas Territory was the land of freedom, and that she would soon be set free, Martha travels from Missouri to her new home at the Mission. She soon finds out things are much different than she thought. While trying to manage as a seamstress Martha is forced to help change cultural beliefs among Indian children, and is witness to the early skirmishes that lead to Civil War. Breathtaking vistas, romance, friendship and defiance all come together in a dramatic conclusion to this powerful story from the American frontier.
Outpost Worldwide provided technical support, crew, and some funding to Through Martha’s Eyes which has also enjoyed festival success. Festivals the film has screened at are: Winner, Best Western, Trail Dance Film Festival (Duncan, Oklahoma); and Official Selections of: 14th Annual Diaspora Film Festival (Toronto, Ontario); Calling All Drums Film Festival; Langston Hughes African American Film Festival (Seattle, Washington).
Through Martha’s Eyes was picked up in 2007 by PBS national and has been broadcast in over 25 markets. Telemark Pictures self-distributes the DVD and more can be learned about the film at telemarkpictures.com . Also, in 2008 a new promo has been shot and script is in development called Dogs of Eden.
Dogs of Eden is the story of the turbulent years preceding the Civil War and the land of mixed culture and righteous people. Drawn together by the promise of freedom and prosperity they struggle to survive in this land they call Eden. Living in this untamed territory are men like John Brown who became the leader of anti-slavery guerrillas and fought a pro-slavery attack against the anti-slavery town of Lawrence, and the Reverend Thomas Johnson who was determined to uphold slavery within the confines of his mission school in Kansas. Both of these men, their families, enslaved people and Indian tribes are intertwined on both sides of what became the Civil War. Along the way there is hatred, faith, disillusionment, corruption, friendship, and love.
