Sacred Cows: Press Release
Noted author films project to raise the financial literacy of people everywhere
LENEXA, KS - Robert Kiyosaki, acclaimed author of the Rich Dad Poor Dad, whose perspectives on money and investing are either hated or heralded, will be visiting the KC metro area during the last week of March to complete an HD video program on his core message. This new video product will be utilized by the Rich Dad Company in its work throughout the world.
The project, entitled “Shooting the Eight Sacred Cows of Money,” outlines eight “obsolete” mantras of money and asserts that people who believe in these principles are the ones who are currently in financial crisis. It is being produced at the Lenexa-based studios of Outpost Worldwide.
Kiyosaki has earned a reputation for straight talk, irreverence and courage, which is what initially drew Kansas City- based director, producer and entrepreneur Michael Wunsch to him. “I attended several of his financial workshops a few years ago and they were amazing,” said Wunsch. “But in addition to coming out of them with great ideas for our business and my personal financial plan, I actually had an idea about how to position Kiyosaki in the video information age.” Along with strategic production partners from LA, Wunsch approached Kiyosaki during one of his workshops with his idea and the rest, as they say, is history.
Wunsch’s company, Outpost Worldwide, and Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad Company now have several financial education projects in development. After the “Sacred Cows” project is complete, Outpost will resume production on Kiyosaki’s, global documentary “An Unfair Advantage.” Being billed as a documentary on financial education, Kiyosaki and Outpost plan to complete the HD film in late 2010. “I truly believe that ‘An Unfair Advantage’ will have the same appeal that Al Gore’s ‘An Inconvenient Truth‘ or even Spurlock’s ‘Super Size Me’ had on the general public” said Wunsch. “Robert’s perspectives on money and investing fly in the face of conventional wisdom. He has challenged and changed the way millions of people think about money – including me.”
These types of projects are not foreign to Outpost. Their programming track record includes hundreds of hours of finished production for Fremantle Media, a multi-national entertainment giant that owns
American Idol, The Price is Right and dozens of other signature programs worldwide. This includes production services for over thirty hours of network drama for the NBC sister-network, Telemundo, and more than six hundred episodes of Family Feud for U.S. Spanish television on TeleFutura.
Outpost Worldwide is currently in production with another national-level entrepreneur, Henry Bloch, producing the legacy documentary for the UMKC Bloch School of Business.
