With upgrades to our sound stage and studio, Outpost Worldwide has the capability to be your one-stop-shop for production. We recently dropped a lighting grid with 40 pre-hung instruments and a 48-channel dimming system into our studio that will allow a wide variety of shoots and also cut down on pre-planning. With the press of a button, we can light subjects with ease.

Our triple-phase service allows for 800 amps of electricity and our studio features lights ranging from 150w to 10k. We have a green screen and a three-sided cyclorama in our 32’ x 45 studio, which is drive-in and can accommodate large vehicles. As the world moves further and further into the digital age, cameras, and camera equipment, go with it. At Outpost Worldwide, were moving right along as well. We recently obtained RED One Camera with a 4k sensor.

Our RED cam is the closest emulation to 35mm that a digital camera has been able to produce yet. The RED camera system uses a proprietary single chip 4K CMOS sensor called the MYSTERIUM. This sensor is the same size as 35mm film so it allows for use of 35mm lenses. There are also other advantages of shooting with a RED-35mm: depth of field to your image, a 4K (4096 pixel wide) image is recorded (2 times the size of a 2k film scan), the image is stored in a RAW format so as extraction algorithms improve, so does your footage and your looks are not “baked in” to the RAW files, they remain separate and may be changed at any point. We recently took a trip west to the beautiful Flint Hills of Kansas. Minneapolis was our destination. We went there to shoot footage for a project we’re working on featuring the life of Henry Bloch, the founder of H&R Block and a long time Kansas City business leader. Along the way, we shot some awesome footage, and got to soak in one of Kansas most beautiful natural geological features: Rock City. We enjoyed Rock City so much, we may go back to shoot there!
